Zusammenfassung: | This short book introduces the field of bounded rationality to a beginning readership in economics. It is intended to be a tour of the key concepts involved in the modelling of bounded rationality, the approaches that have been adopted and some of the most revealing, and at times surprising, findings that have been generated. The book explores how bounded rationality has been used in economic models to shed light on real life behaviour and how doing so has led to specific policy implications that would otherwise have gone unappreciated. The exposition is intended to be non-technical and free from any mathematical expressions and workings and the focus throughout is primarily on the behaviour of individuals or organisations within given situations rather than on macroeconomic concerns. How the field has evolved since the 1950s and the strengths and weaknesses of its current research programme, including its relationship with behavioural economics, are assessed. |

How the field has evolved since the 1950s and the strengths and weaknesses of its current research programme, including its relationship with behavioural economics, are assessed.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="588" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Print version record; online resource viewed November 2, 2021.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Decision making.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85036199</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Economics</subfield><subfield code="x">Mathematical models.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85040857</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Decision Making</subfield><subfield code="0">https://id.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/D003657</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Prise de décision.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Économie politique</subfield><subfield code="x">Modèles mathématiques.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">decision making.</subfield><subfield code="2">aat</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Decision making</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Economics</subfield><subfield code="x">Mathematical models</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="a">Mallard, Graham, 1982-</subfield><subfield code="t">Bounded rationality.</subfield><subfield code="d">Newcastle Helix, Newcastle upon Tyne : Agenda Publishing, 2020</subfield><subfield code="z">1788212576</subfield><subfield code="w">(DLC) 2020445921</subfield><subfield code="w">(OCoLC)1122741718</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="830" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Economy, key ideas.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2018001215</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBU</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBU</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=2708036</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">hoopla Digital</subfield><subfield code="b">HOPL</subfield><subfield code="n">MWT15286583</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Askews and Holts Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">ASKH</subfield><subfield code="n">AH37517170</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Askews and Holts Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">ASKH</subfield><subfield code="n">AH37528590</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ProQuest Ebook Central</subfield><subfield code="b">EBLB</subfield><subfield code="n">EBL6913788</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">2708036</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">16826641</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBU</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="049" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DE-863</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |

WlAbNL This short book introduces the field of bounded rationality to a beginning readership in economics.
