Zusammenfassung: | The voluntary sector is made up primarily of not-for-profit and non-governmental organizations that engage with social issues. Voices from the Voluntary Sector contains reasoned reflections by practitioners on some of the significant challenges faced by today's not-for-profit organizations in Canada. Broad in scope, these essays present a rich, multi-dimensional set of vignettes that as a whole express the vitality and humanity of the voluntary sector in Canada. The contributors discuss organizational and managerial challenges, social entrepreneurship, and how to foster effective global movements. The essays include a reflection on the ways that young people can find the courage to become leaders, an exploration of the absence of First Nations peoples within voluntary sector organizations, and a consideration how parental incarceration affects the life prospects of children. Voices from the Voluntary Sector is a valuable resource that addresses a wide range of concerns related to the responsiveness, character, and leadership of third sector organizations. |

Voices from the Voluntary Sector is a valuable resource that addresses a wide range of concerns related to the responsiveness, character, and leadership of third sector organizations.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Nonprofit organizations</subfield><subfield code="z">Canada</subfield><subfield code="x">Management.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Charities</subfield><subfield code="z">Canada</subfield><subfield code="x">Management.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Leadership.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85075480</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Associations sans but lucratif</subfield><subfield code="z">Canada</subfield><subfield code="x">Gestion.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Leadership.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">BUSINESS & ECONOMICS</subfield><subfield code="x">Nonprofit Organizations & Charities.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Charities</subfield><subfield code="x">Management</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Leadership</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Nonprofit organizations</subfield><subfield code="x">Management</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Canada</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PBJkMHVW4rfVXPrhVP4VwG3</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Bird, Frederick B.</subfield><subfield code="q">(Frederick Bruce),</subfield><subfield code="d">1938-</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no95041659</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Westley, Frances.</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="a">Bird, Frederick.</subfield><subfield code="t">Voices From the Voluntary Sector : Perspectives on Leadership Challenges.</subfield><subfield code="d">Toronto : University of Toronto Press, ©2014</subfield><subfield code="z">9780802091017</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBU</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBU</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=469006</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Project MUSE</subfield><subfield code="b">MUSE</subfield><subfield code="n">musev2_105930</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Internet Archive</subfield><subfield code="b">INAR</subfield><subfield code="n">voicesfromvolunt0000unse</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Canadian Electronic Library</subfield><subfield code="b">CELB</subfield><subfield code="n">10512991</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ProQuest Ebook Central</subfield><subfield code="b">EBLB</subfield><subfield code="n">EBL3277623</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ebrary</subfield><subfield code="b">EBRY</subfield><subfield code="n">ebr10512991</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">469006</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">7465208</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBU</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="049" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DE-863</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |
