In part one, all relevant aspects concerning macroscopic properties as Mechanics, Rigid body dynamics, Special theory of relativity, Elasticity, Light waves, Lasers and also the Basic thermodynamics, its laws and applications are discussed in easily understandable simple mathematical formulations. In the second part, amongst various important microscopic aspects discussed, care has been taken to present the intricate concepts particularly in statistical mechanics, quantum mechanics and semiconductor Physics in a lucid way best acceptable for the students. Every chapter is followed by references for further reading. Care has been taken that the book becomes helpful for teachers in the class and also for students for better understanding. | |
