Zusammenfassung: | "This book is the first volume to unite theoretical and practical insights into the protection of human rights by legislatures from a number of domestic jurisdictions, international organisations, and leading scholars. In doing so it aims to present a complete picture of the parliamentary protection of human rights which will interest both academic scholars and practitioners. Specifically, the volume contains contributions analysing the processes of legislative protection of human rights from jurisdictions in Britain, Europe, and Australasia. It also contains studies on the role of the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights, and a critical scholarly examination of the relationship between parliamentary and curial institutions within the context of the protection of human rights. Within the volume there are several central original contributions from key figures working at the heart of trans-national organisations dedicated to the legislative protection of human rights. The contributions from academic scholars investigate the consequences of legislative protection of human rights in the United Kingdom parliament drawing upon both empirical evidence and theoretical perspectives. The volume concludes with a scholarly analysis of the implications which flow from the project of democratisation of human rights in a wider context."--Bloomsbury Publishing |

The volume concludes with a scholarly analysis of the implications which flow from the project of democratisation of human rights in a wider context."--Bloomsbury Publishing</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Human rights</subfield><subfield code="x">Political aspects.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Human rights.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85026379</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Constitutional law.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85031329</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Legislative bodies.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Droits de l'homme (Droit international)</subfield><subfield code="x">Aspect politique.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Droits de l'homme (Droit international)</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Droit constitutionnel.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Human rights & civil liberties law.</subfield><subfield code="2">bicssc</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">LAW</subfield><subfield code="x">Constitutional.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">LAW</subfield><subfield code="x">Public.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Constitutional law</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Human rights</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Human rights</subfield><subfield code="x">Political aspects</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Legislative bodies</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Law.</subfield><subfield code="2">ukslc</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Hunt, Murray,</subfield><subfield code="e">editor.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/nr97027854</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Hooper, Hayley Jayne,</subfield><subfield code="d">1984-</subfield><subfield code="e">editor.</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PCjG9jRJTVC6HRyTDY7wP73</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Yowell, Paul,</subfield><subfield code="d">1969-</subfield><subfield code="e">editor.</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PCjM4VTBfbMpQcyKrTMjBfq</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2012031960</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Yowell, Paul.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="758" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="i">has work:</subfield><subfield code="a">Parliaments and human rights (Text)</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PCFKqjffryVHHgg4YvpDFyq</subfield><subfield code="4">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/ontology/hasWork</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="t">Parliaments and human rights</subfield><subfield code="z">9781849465618</subfield><subfield code="w">(OCoLC)904591540</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="830" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Hart studies in comparative public law ;</subfield><subfield code="v">v. 5.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2013062952</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=972783</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Bloomsbury Publishing</subfield><subfield code="b">BLOO</subfield><subfield code="n">bpp09259050</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Coutts Information Services</subfield><subfield code="b">COUT</subfield><subfield code="n">30561909</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBL -
