Zusammenfassung: | Scholars have extensively documented the historical and socioeconomic impact of the Dutch East India Company. They have paid much less attention to the company's significant influence on Asian art and visual culture. Mediating Netherlandish Art and Material Culture in Asia addresses this imbalance with a wide range of contributions covering such topics as Dutch and Chinese art in colonial and Indigenous households; the rise of Hollandmania in Japan; and the Dutch painters who worked at the court of the Persian shahs. Together, the contributors shed new light on seventeenth-century Dutch visual culture--and the company that spread it across Asia. -- |

--</subfield><subfield code="c">Provided by publisher.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Art, Netherlandish</subfield><subfield code="x">Asian influences.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Art, Asian</subfield><subfield code="x">European influences.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85007550</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Netherlands</subfield><subfield code="x">Relations</subfield><subfield code="z">Asia.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Asia</subfield><subfield code="x">Relations</subfield><subfield code="z">Netherlands.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Pays-Bas</subfield><subfield code="x">Relations</subfield><subfield code="z">Asie.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Asie</subfield><subfield code="x">Relations</subfield><subfield code="z">Pays-Bas.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">ART</subfield><subfield code="x">History</subfield><subfield code="x">General.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Art, Asian</subfield><subfield code="x">European influences</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">International relations</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Asia</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PBJxMpyjKQ9Jtm3jkjPBgKd</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Netherlands</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PBJk4D96j3YTHJQfHCV3vpP</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Kaufmann, Thomas DaCosta,</subfield><subfield code="e">editor.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">North, Michael,</subfield><subfield code="d">1954-</subfield><subfield code="e">editor.</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PBJbtqcMqJHGV6jvXh4dmh3</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n92001937</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="z">9089645691</subfield><subfield code="z">9789089645692</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="830" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Amsterdam studies in the Dutch golden age.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2007027843</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=939600</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="936" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">BATCHLOAD</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Digitalia Publishing</subfield><subfield code="b">DGIT</subfield><subfield code="n">DIGAMSTUP0242</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBL - Ebook Library</subfield><subfield code="b">EBLB</subfield><subfield code="n">EBL3001930</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ebrary</subfield><subfield code="b">EBRY</subfield><subfield code="n">ebr11008382</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">939600</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ProQuest MyiLibrary Digital eBook Collection</subfield><subfield code="b">IDEB</subfield><subfield code="n">cis25433488</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Project MUSE</subfield><subfield code="b">MUSE</subfield><subfield code="n">muse76611</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">12241903</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="049" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DE-863</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |

Scholars have extensively documented the historical and socioeconomic impact of the Dutch East India Company. -- Provided by publisher. Art, Netherlandish Asian influences.
