Zusammenfassung: | Increasingly, mindfulness and acceptance strategies are being used as part of psychosocial interventions for patients experiencing psychosis including hallucinations, delusions, and other negative symptoms. However, research in this area is still in its early stages. A variety of therapies currently exist that incorporate mindfulness and acceptance components to a greater or lesser degree. Section I of this book introduces readers to the evolution in cognitive-behavioral therapies for psychosis, from those used in the past to those currently used. Section II comprises separate chapters describing the theory and practice of the specific mindfulness and acceptance therapies for psychosis that are currently being researched and used with patients. Section III provides an analysis and synthesis of the preceding chapters and discusses the empirical support for these treatments. |
