Zusammenfassung: | "With many new forms of digital media--including such popular social media as Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr -- the people formerly known as the audience no longer only consume but also produce and even design media. Jonas Löwgren and Bo Reimer term this phenomenon collaborative media, and in this book they investigate the qualities and characteristics of these forms of media in terms of what they enable people to do. They do so through an interdisciplinary research approach that combines the social sciences and humanities traditions of empirical and theoretical work with practice-based, design-oriented interventions. Löwgren and Reimer offer analysis and a series of illuminating case studies -- examples of projects in collaborative media that range from small multidisciplinary research experiments to commercial projects used by millions of people. Löwgren and Reimer discuss the case studies at three levels of analysis: society and the role of collaborative media in societal change; institutions and the relationship of collaborative media with established media structures; and tribes, the nurturing of small communities within a large technical infrastructure. They conclude by advocating an interventionist turn within social analysis and media design." |

They conclude by advocating an interventionist turn within social analysis and media design."</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Social media.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2006007023</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">User-generated content.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2007005697</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Mass media</subfield><subfield code="x">Technological innovations.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Social Media</subfield><subfield code="0">https://id.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/D061108</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Médias sociaux.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Contenu créé par l'utilisateur.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Médias</subfield><subfield code="x">Innovations.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">social media.</subfield><subfield code="2">aat</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">PSYCHOLOGY</subfield><subfield code="x">Social Psychology.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Mass media</subfield><subfield code="x">Technological innovations</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Social media</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">User-generated content</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Massenmedien</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">User Generated Content</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="0">http://d-nb.info/gnd/7616549-8</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Social Media</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">COMPUTER SCIENCE/Human Computer Interaction</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DIGITAL HUMANITIES & NEW MEDIA/Social Media & Networking</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DESIGN/General</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Reimer, Bo,</subfield><subfield code="e">author.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="a">Löwgren, Jonas.</subfield><subfield code="t">Collaborative media</subfield><subfield code="z">9780262019767</subfield><subfield code="w">(DLC) 2013009443</subfield><subfield code="w">(OCoLC)842993970</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=663528</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Askews and Holts Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">ASKH</subfield><subfield code="n">AH33866766</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Coutts Information Services</subfield><subfield code="b">COUT</subfield><subfield code="n">26781004</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBL - Ebook Library</subfield><subfield code="b">EBLB</subfield><subfield code="n">EBL3339706</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ebrary</subfield><subfield code="b">EBRY</subfield><subfield code="n">ebr10803225</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">663528</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ProQuest MyiLibrary Digital eBook Collection</subfield><subfield code="b">IDEB</subfield><subfield code="n">cis26781004</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">11373168</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="049" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DE-863</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |

Introduction -- The cultural form of collaborative media -- Researching collaborative media -- Collaborative media and society -- Collaborative media and institutions -- Collaborative media and tribes -- The uses of collaborative media -- The practice of collaborative media research. Print version record. "With many new forms of digital media--including such popular social media as Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr -- the people formerly known as the audience no longer only consume but also produce and even design media. They conclude by advocating an interventionist turn within social analysis and media design."
