Zusammenfassung: | An ageing population is burdening social and healthcare services around the world, and this problem is likely to get worse as the percentage of older people continues to rise. Many governments are already responding to this challenge, and a key element in their strategies is the development and deployment of computer-based telecare and telehealth technologies to support care at home in a cost-effective manner. Human involvement in care continues to be central, but home care technologies can offer reassurance, and support routine aspects, to the benefit of all concerned. This book provides an up-to-date overview of key advances in the relevant technology, with an in-depth examination of the latest research in various home care technologies by experts in the field. The book mainly discusses the results of the Mobilising Advanced Technologies for Care at Home (MATCH) project, co-ordinated by the University of Stirling in Scotland, but work on related projects is also included. The book will be of interest to all researchers and practitioners in the fields of telecare and telehealth, policymakers in these areas, and providers of social and healthcare with an interest in technology. |

Many governments are already responding to this challenge, and a key element in their strategies is the development and deployment of computer-based telecare and telehealth technologies to support care at home in a cost-effective manner. Human involvement in care continues to be central, but home care technologies can offer reassurance, and support routine aspects, to the benefit of all concerned.This book provides an up-to-date overview of key advances in the relevant technology, with an in-depth examination of the latest research in various home care technologies by experts in the field. The book mainly discusses the results of the Mobilising Advanced Technologies for Care at Home (MATCH) project, co-ordinated by the University of Stirling in Scotland, but work on related projects is also included.The book will be of interest to all researchers and practitioners in the fields of telecare and telehealth, policymakers in these areas, and providers of social and healthcare with an interest in technology.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Self-help devices for people with disabilities</subfield><subfield code="x">Technological innovations.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Older people.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85002087</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="1" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Home Care Services</subfield><subfield code="x">trends</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="2" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Aged</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="2" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Equipment Design</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="2" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Telemedicine</subfield><subfield code="x">instrumentation</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="2" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Telemedicine</subfield><subfield code="x">trends</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Aged, 80 and over</subfield><subfield code="0">https://id.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/D000369</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Aides fonctionnelles (Médecine physique)</subfield><subfield code="x">Innovations.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Personnes âgées.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">elderly.</subfield><subfield code="2">aat</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">MEDICAL</subfield><subfield code="x">Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Older people</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Turner, Kenneth J.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n88003269</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="710" ind1="2" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">IOS Press.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2015091156</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="t">Advances in home care technologies.</subfield><subfield code="d">Amsterdam ; Washington, D.C. : IOS Press, ©2012</subfield><subfield code="w">(DLC) 2012946288</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="830" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Assistive technology research series ;</subfield><subfield code="v">v. 31.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no98069454</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=489947</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBL - Ebook Library</subfield><subfield code="b">EBLB</subfield><subfield code="n">EBL1035235</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ebrary</subfield><subfield code="b">EBRY</subfield><subfield code="n">ebr10607559</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">489947</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ProQuest MyiLibrary Digital eBook Collection</subfield><subfield code="b">IDEB</subfield><subfield code="n">cis25073282</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">9781962</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="049" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DE-863</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |

An ageing population is burdening social and healthcare services around the world, and this problem is likely to get worse as the percentage of older people continues to rise.
