Zusammenfassung: | Fred M. Clark offers a semiotic analysis of three plays by Nelson Rodrigues, based in Charles S. Pierce's triadic concept of the sign: as sign, interpretant, and object, in regards to its production as perception and consciousness. Clark's use of this triad approach demonstrates the self-conscious plays of icons in Vestido de noiva, Album de familia, and Anjo negro, and offers a basis for the relevance of his conclusions to theatre at large. Based on this semiotic theory, Clark demonstrates the particular modes in which Nelson's theatre builds up fictional situations that transcend the pretense of the vanguard to become radically innovative and achieve a first-rate literary realization, equal of any occidental writer of the period. The author demonstrates the way in which Rodrigues dissects the difference between seeming and being, questioning the very notion of permanence and order. |

Based on this semiotic theory, Clark demonstrates the particular modes in which Nelson's theatre builds up fictional situations that transcend the pretense of the vanguard to become radically innovative and achieve a first-rate literary realization, equal of any occidental writer of the period. The author demonstrates the way in which Rodrigues dissects the difference between seeming and being, questioning the very notion of permanence and order.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="600" ind1="1" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson.</subfield><subfield code="t">Vestido de noiva.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n91050321</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="600" ind1="1" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson.</subfield><subfield code="t">Album de família.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n91050351</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="600" ind1="1" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson.</subfield><subfield code="t">Anjo negro.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n91050355</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="600" ind1="1" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson.</subfield><subfield code="t">Anjo negro.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="600" ind1="1" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson.</subfield><subfield code="t">Album de família.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="600" ind1="1" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson.</subfield><subfield code="t">Vestido de noiva.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="630" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Vestido de noiva (Rodrigues, Nelson)</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="600" ind1="1" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson.</subfield><subfield code="t">Vestido de noiva.</subfield><subfield code="2">swd</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="600" ind1="1" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson.</subfield><subfield code="t">Anjo negro.</subfield><subfield code="2">swd</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="600" ind1="1" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson.</subfield><subfield code="t">Álbum de família.</subfield><subfield code="2">swd</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Theater</subfield><subfield code="x">Semiotics.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh88000736</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Sémiotique et théâtre.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">LITERARY CRITICISM</subfield><subfield code="x">European</subfield><subfield code="x">Spanish & Portuguese.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Theater</subfield><subfield code="x">Semiotics</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Semiotik</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="0">http://d-nb.info/gnd/4054498-9</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson</subfield><subfield code="a">Album de família</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson</subfield><subfield code="a">Anjo negro</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Rodrigues, Nelson</subfield><subfield code="a">Vestido de noiva</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Theater</subfield><subfield code="a">Semiotics</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="a">Clark, Fred M.</subfield><subfield code="t">Impermanent structures.</subfield><subfield code="d">Chapel Hill : U.N.C. Rodrigues, Nelson.
