Zusammenfassung: | What has hermeneutics to do with ecology? What texts, if any, come to mind when you consider what the scriptures might say about environmental ethics? To help readers think critically and clearly about the Bible's relation to modern environmental issues, this volume expands the horizons of biblical interpretation to introduce ecological hermeneutics, moving beyond a simple discussion about Earth and its constituents as topics to a reading of the text from the perspective of Earth. In these essays, sixteen scholars seek ways to identify with Earth as they read and retrieve the role or voice of Earth, a voice previously unnoticed or suppressed within the biblical text and its interpretation. --From publisher's description. |

--From publisher's description.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="588" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Print version record.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="546" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">English.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="630" ind1="0" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Bible</subfield><subfield code="x">Criticism, interpretation, etc.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85013617</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="630" ind1="0" ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Bible</subfield><subfield code="x">Critique, interprétation, etc.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="630" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Bible</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Human ecology</subfield><subfield code="x">Religious aspects</subfield><subfield code="x">Christianity.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh2008105868</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Human ecology in the Bible.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85062863</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Écologie humaine</subfield><subfield code="x">Aspect religieux</subfield><subfield code="x">Christianisme.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Écologie humaine dans la Bible.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">BIBLES</subfield><subfield code="x">General.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">RELIGION</subfield><subfield code="x">Biblical Reference</subfield><subfield code="x">General.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">RELIGION</subfield><subfield code="x">Biblical Reference.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Human ecology in the Bible</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Human ecology</subfield><subfield code="x">Religious aspects</subfield><subfield code="x">Christianity</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="655" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Criticism, interpretation, etc.</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Habel, Norman C.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n50019111</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Trudinger, Peter L.,</subfield><subfield code="d">1953-</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PCjK4chbg6Jd3QY7CQHbVyd</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="t">Exploring ecological hermeneutics.</subfield><subfield code="d">Atlanta : Society of Biblical Literature, ©2008</subfield><subfield code="z">9781589833463</subfield><subfield code="z">1589833465</subfield><subfield code="w">(DLC) 2008003577</subfield><subfield code="w">(OCoLC)191881976</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="830" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Symposium series (Society of Biblical Literature) ;</subfield><subfield code="v">no. 46.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n95120917</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=228201</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Internet Archive</subfield><subfield code="b">INAR</subfield><subfield code="n">isbn_9781589833463</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBL -
