Zusammenfassung: | "In Graduating Class, Latty L. Goodwin tells the story of a group of students from poor and working-class families who struggle against all odds to graduate from an elite university. The author explores the lived experiences of an engaging group of college students and shares their stories of trials and tribulations, joys and sorrows, and their frustrations and successes. Goodwin shows that even though the affirmative action debate was recently "settled" in the Supreme Court, universities are still left to grapple with defining who is deserving, meritorious, and qualified for admission. This timely story of hope and of students persevering through academic adversity demonstrates the justice of democratic access to higher education."--Jacket. |

This timely story of hope and of students persevering through academic adversity demonstrates the justice of democratic access to higher education."--Jacket.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="546" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">English.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Youth with social disabilities</subfield><subfield code="x">Education (Higher)</subfield><subfield code="z">United States</subfield><subfield code="v">Case studies.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Children of immigrants</subfield><subfield code="x">Education (Higher)</subfield><subfield code="z">United States</subfield><subfield code="v">Case studies.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Educational equalization</subfield><subfield code="z">United States.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Démocratisation de l'enseignement</subfield><subfield code="z">États-Unis.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">EDUCATION</subfield><subfield code="x">Higher.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Children of immigrants</subfield><subfield code="x">Education (Higher)</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Educational equalization</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Youth with social disabilities</subfield><subfield code="x">Education (Higher)</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">United States</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PBJtxgQXMWqmjMjjwXRHgrq</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Multi-User</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="655" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Case studies</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="a">Goodwin, Latty Lee, 1950-</subfield><subfield code="t">Graduating class.</subfield><subfield code="d">Albany : State University of New York Press, ©2006</subfield><subfield code="z">0791467414</subfield><subfield code="z">0791467422</subfield><subfield code="w">(DLC) 2005014624</subfield><subfield code="w">(OCoLC)60603110</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="830" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Book collections on Project MUSE.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=165156</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Internet Archive</subfield><subfield code="b">INAR</subfield><subfield code="n">graduatingclassd0000good</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBL - Ebook Library</subfield><subfield code="b">EBLB</subfield><subfield code="n">EBL3407712</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ebrary</subfield><subfield code="b">EBRY</subfield><subfield code="n">ebr10579135</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">165156</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Project MUSE</subfield><subfield code="b">MUSE</subfield><subfield code="n">muse6404</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">9449981</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">2463272</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="049" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DE-863</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |

"In Graduating Class, Latty L.
