Zusammenfassung: | "Methodology in Religious Studies assesses the impact of women's studies on the various methods employed in studying religion. Since its inception in the 1860s, the study of religion as an academic discipline has evolved over time, ranging from the classically historical to the boldly hermeneutical. The women's studies movement has, since the 1980s, become part and parcel of the intellectual landscape of our times, and the study of religion has become increasingly influenced by it. What are the implications of this new development for the methodology of religious studies? Leading practitioners of psychological, theological, sociological, anthropological, phenomenological, historical, and hermeneutic approaches examine the mutually enriching interface between religious studies and women's studies, as they explore the broader issue of the interaction between method and the nature of the subject itself."--Jacket |

The women's studies movement has, since the 1980s, become part and parcel of the intellectual landscape of our times, and the study of religion has become increasingly influenced by it. What are the implications of this new development for the methodology of religious studies? Leading practitioners of psychological, theological, sociological, anthropological, phenomenological, historical, and hermeneutic approaches examine the mutually enriching interface between religious studies and women's studies, as they explore the broader issue of the interaction between method and the nature of the subject itself."--Jacket</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="546" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">English.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Religion</subfield><subfield code="x">Study and teaching.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85112556</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Women's studies.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh85147771</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Religion</subfield><subfield code="x">Étude et enseignement.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Études sur les femmes.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">women's studies.</subfield><subfield code="2">aat</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">RELIGION</subfield><subfield code="x">Religious Intolerance, Persecution & Conflict.</subfield><subfield code="2">bisacsh</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Religion</subfield><subfield code="x">Study and teaching</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Women's studies</subfield><subfield code="2">fast</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="1" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Godsdienstwetenschap.</subfield><subfield code="2">gtt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="1" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Methodologie.</subfield><subfield code="2">gtt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="1" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Vrouwenstudies.</subfield><subfield code="2">gtt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Sharma, Arvind.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="758" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="i">has work:</subfield><subfield code="a">Methodology in religious studies (Text)</subfield><subfield code="1">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PCXWtJgMHDkr9bKGtw7X3Km</subfield><subfield code="4">https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/ontology/hasWork</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Print version:</subfield><subfield code="t">Methodology in religious studies.</subfield><subfield code="d">Albany : State University of New York Press, ©2002</subfield><subfield code="z">0791453472</subfield><subfield code="z">0791453480</subfield><subfield code="w">(DLC) 2001042647</subfield><subfield code="w">(OCoLC)47221901</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="830" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">McGill studies in the history of religions.</subfield><subfield code="0">http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n86701085</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="l">FWS01</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield><subfield code="q">FWS_PDA_EBA</subfield><subfield code="u">https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=103344</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ProQuest Ebook Central</subfield><subfield code="b">EBLB</subfield><subfield code="n">EBL3407871</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">EBSCOhost</subfield><subfield code="b">EBSC</subfield><subfield code="n">103344</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Internet Archive</subfield><subfield code="b">INAR</subfield><subfield code="n">methodologyinrel0000unse</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Project MUSE</subfield><subfield code="b">MUSE</subfield><subfield code="n">muse5866</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">9568050</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="938" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">YBP Library Services</subfield><subfield code="b">YANK</subfield><subfield code="n">2336774</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="994" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">92</subfield><subfield code="b">GEBAY</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-4-EBA</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="049" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">DE-863</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |

Method in women's Studies in Religion: A Critical Feminist Hermeneutics / Elisabeth Schussler Fiorenza. "Methodology in Religious Studies assesses the impact of women's studies on the various methods employed in studying religion. Leading practitioners of psychological, theological, sociological, anthropological, phenomenological, historical, and hermeneutic approaches examine the mutually enriching interface between religious studies and women's studies, as they explore the broader issue of the interaction between method and the nature of the subject itself."--Jacket English.
