Xiaoxi puts his cotton shoes into the footprints and "walks" with his parents every day; when the ice and snow melt, he scattersd wild chrysanthemum seeds in the footprints and marks them with stones; after a spring rain, Xiaoxi recites ancient poems for each wild chrysanthemum seed, silently looking forward to the return of his parents. Xue Tao, a famous writer of children's literature, was born in Changtu County, Liaoning Province in March 1971. He has worked as a teacher and newspaper editor. He currently works for the Liaoning Writers Association and is a national first-class writer and a member of the Children's Literature Committee of the China Writers Association. His major works include the collections of short and medium-length novels "The Girl Flying with Dandelions", "Botanical Garden at Noon", and "Moonlight Cinema at My Home", and dozens of medium-length novels such as "Paopao'er Goes on a Trip", "Fighting Japanese Devils in the Mountains", "Glaciers in September", "Small City", and "White Milky Way".
