Zusammenfassung:	The article analyses the architecture of the parish church in Kazimierz Biskupi. The building is believed to be a Romanesque structure dating from the 12th century, which was extended in brick construction technology in the early 16th century on the initiative of the bishop of Poznań, Jan Lubrański. An analysis of its wall structure and an interpretation of archaeological research made it possible to establish that the church is in fact a late Romanesque one. It was probably built at the beginning of the 13th century on the site of an older structure, probably destroyed by fire. The original single-nave Romanesque church, of which only a fragment of the north wall survives, terminated with an apse to the east and a tower to the west. It was erected in ashlar construction technology between 1177 and 1181, most probably on the initiative of Duke Casimir the Just. A detailed analysis of the stone-built walls and data obtained from archaeological research has provided a basis for accurately establishing the construction phases of the late Romanesque church.
