A TASTE OF COASTAL NORWAY presents a colourful social history of settlements and the distinctive atmos phere of life along the Norwegian coast, from Finnmark to the inner Oslo fjord. At the same time this is a cookery book that gives an idea of what the ocean has to offer in the way of numerous taste experiences. In Norway we have a long tradition in using delicacies from the sea. Some of the recipes in this book have been passed down from generation to generation, whereas others are completely new and combine tradition with exotic vegetables and trimmings.
