Zusammenfassung:Neumann's "impartial opinion" about the "praying children of Silesia." The Treaty of Altranstädt restored Protestantism to Silesia. After the Swedish troops left, children of four years old and upward gathered in open fields for praying and singing, calling for the restoration of the churches that had been taken away by the Catholics. This movement reached Breslau in 1708. Neumann attempted to get a grip on the movement by setting aside one of the newly returned churches for the use of the children's camp-meetings, so that they now acted under clerical oversight. Cf.
