| Zusammenfassung: | The catalogue brings together a considerable number of works by the Taller Cono Norte. This important workshop, which has been operating for 22 years (founded during Alberto Fujimori's presidency) in the field of graphics, using screen printing as a means of work and visual production, has become with the effort and perseverance of its members and founders: Miguel Lescano and Liliana Ávalos Mendoza and since 2015 with the incorporation of the photographer Elie Angles, in a reference space for the promotion and graphic production in Peru. With a total of 183 artworks present in this exhibition -including projects and graphic productions of each of its members, collective and collaborative editions of engraving folders and educational actions based on educational action and mediation- the exhibition expresses the versatility of the workshop and its commitment to art as a construct of symbolic language that translates its social and political concerns from the screen-printing action. |
