The author introduces two novel concepts: leveraged statecraft and migration statecraft, which amalgamate theoretical traditions in order to construct recognition and partnerships. Case studies analysed in this book include the African, Caribbean and Pacific group of states; the African Union; the European Neighbourhood; the Rabat, Budapest, and Prague processes; and bilateral mobility partnerships.
