This book analyzes the existing historical works on the development of children's picture books in Taiwan, the impact of key developments in Taiwan's post-war economic, political and educational policies. Using the definition of the term picture book, the evolution of the implied reader of Taiwanese children's picture books, and other elements as the basis for historical periodization, the development of Taiwanese children's picture books from 1945 to 2016 is reconstructed. |
