Zusammenfassung: | "This book takes a long-term approach, spanning from the end of the 16th to the 19th century, to explore how men and women in Italy, France, and Spain collected, displayed, and passed down various types of papers. The contributors share a core interest in the relationship between social actors and their paper heritage. The collectors, who come from diverse cultural, social, and gender backgrounds, provide insights into the reasons and processes behind the accumulation, valorisation, and transmission of their paper heritage. Unlike most studies on collecting, this book shifts the focus away from collections and institutions to the owners of the collected objects and their desires for their accumulated papers. This volume covers three centuries and provides insights into the aspirations of collectors and the fate of their papers after transmission. It takes place against the backdrop of major social, political, and cultural changes affecting the Italian peninsula, the Spanish monarchy, and France. The cultural interests and the collector networks often extended beyond Europe, as noted by many of the essays in this volume. Paper Heritage in Italy, France, Spain and Beyond (16th to 19th Centuries) will interest scholars and students of Early Modern and Modern European History across various fields, including social and cultural history, intellectual history, gender history, history of collecting and patronage"-- |

María Josepa Massanés, Emilia Serrano and a library-museum (19th century Spain) / Núria Jornet-Benito "This book takes a long-term approach, spanning from the end of the 16th to the 19th century, to explore how men and women in Italy, France, and Spain collected, displayed, and passed down various types of papers. Paper Heritage in Italy, France, Spain and Beyond (16th to 19th Centuries) will interest scholars and students of Early Modern and Modern European History across various fields, including social and cultural history, intellectual history, gender history, history of collecting and patronage"-- Geschichte 1500-1900 gnd rswk-swf Privatbibliothek (DE-588)4047289-9 gnd rswk-swf Privatsammlung (DE-588)4328335-4 gnd rswk-swf Sammler (DE-588)4179037-6 gnd rswk-swf Bibliophiler (DE-588)4145245-8 gnd rswk-swf Bibliophilie (DE-588)4145247-1 gnd rswk-swf Buchbesitz (DE-588)4681622-7 gnd rswk-swf Frankreich (DE-588)4018145-5 gnd rswk-swf Spanien (DE-588)4055964-6 gnd rswk-swf Italien (DE-588)4027833-5 gnd rswk-swf Book collecting / Europe, Southern / History Manuscripts / Collectors and collecting / Europe, Southern / History Collectors and collecting / Social aspects / Europe, Southern / History Europe, Southern / Intellectual life Bibliophilie / Europe méridionale / Histoire Manuscrits / Collectionneurs et collections / Europe méridionale / Histoire Europe méridionale / Vie intellectuelle (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Italien (DE-588)4027833-5 g Frankreich (DE-588)4018145-5 g Spanien (DE-588)4055964-6 g Sammler (DE-588)4179037-6 s Bibliophiler (DE-588)4145245-8 s Buchbesitz (DE-588)4681622-7 s Bibliophilie (DE-588)4145247-1 s Privatsammlung (DE-588)4328335-4 s Privatbibliothek (DE-588)4047289-9 s Geschichte 1500-1900 z DE-604 Borello, Benedetta 1968- (DE-588)1243753730 edt Casella, Laura (DE-588)1335744312 edt Adank, Maria (DE-588)132563994X ctb Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe 978-1-003-37397-1 Digitalisierung BSB München - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=034948880&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis |
