Zusammenfassung:The present edition is the outcome of the 2nd. International Seminar held in the city of Recife, Brazil, in 2017, and represents part of the series that has been building the partnership between the two countries, the result of an agreement signed in 2015 between the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Mexico and the Landscape Laboratory of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil. Between materiality and immateriality, cultural heritage expresses the creations of a society that affirms its identity. In a very particular way, the Landscape and the Garden, understood as cultural heritage, reveal the relations of man with his territory, whose symbolic character, supported by the natural, cultural and historical dimensions, is associated with the identification of certain places that conserve, in the present, traces of the past, apprehended from the relationship between who perceives and what is perceived, between reason and feeling that make them "condensers of emotions". These feelings unfold in the words and in the multiple views of Mexican and Brazilian specialists, from the landscapes of Mesoamerica in Mexico to the modern gardens of Roberto Burle Marx in Brazil, in exercises of conceptual and design reflection. There are 10 texts distributed between Mexicans and Brazilians, plus the opening text, a co-authorship of the two countries, which stimulates the discussion on the recognition of Roberto Burle Marx's work in Brazil as a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Organization for Science, the Education and Culture (UNESCO).
