Beschreibung: | In May 2011, a few months after the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant, the German government made the long-awaited decision to abandon nuclear energy by 2022 and switch the German economy to renewable energy sources. This decision, instead of creating a solid ground for a new policy that enjoys the trust of the public and representatives of the economy, has introduced huge chaos and uncertainty, not only in Germany, but also in Europe. The energy transformation, which began in the summer of 2011, is still the subject of debate, concerning not only the energy model, but also the social and economic model of Germany. The whole of Europe is watching its progress, because if the Energiewende project is successful in Germany, it will be the basis for creating similar solutions in other countries |
