Summary:In cities such as Paris, Rotterdam and Frankfurt am Main, artist Levent Kunt (born in Ankara and Frankfurt-based) explores the dynamics of urban space. Through often minimal interventions, additions or colored surfaces, he changes the perception of urban or semi-public spaces. Often Kunt's interventions are temporary in nature; they exist temporarily and are only perceptible to the people on site. The publication compiles documentation of selected works and thus creates an overview of the last twenty years. Exemplarily, the catalog allows an insight into what can be understood as art in public space: What are the occasions for artists to work in such a way instead of in the white cube, what art-theoretical themes are associated with this? With an essay by Juliane Herz, a work analysis by Christin Müller and an interview between Marijke Lukowicz and Levent Kunt
