Zusammenfassung:Based on critical studies, the author presents an accesible and elocuent reference of the murals painted by Diego Rivera (1886-1957) in the National Palace in Mexico City. The author presents "in a methodic and didactic way the pictorial works elaborated by [Diego] Rivera in the seat of power of the Mexican State and, before the viceregal government of New Spain, the houses in an area previously occupied by Hueui Tlatoani Moctezuma. In these murals, Diego wanted to capture his particular vision of the historical development of the Mexican nation, from antiquity to the modern era, placing special emphasis on the social struggle of peoples against exploitation, submission and inequalities, while making reference to the characters that influenced the great events of history.ʺ
