A catalogue of the genuine and capital collection of natural history, collected by that well-known connoisseur, the late Charles Chauncey, M.D. Fellow of the Royal Antiquarian Society, together with several curious articles selected by his brother Nathaniel Chauncery, Esq. deceased: Among which we a pleasing affortment of beautiful shells, some of them very scarce, particularly the orange gowry, and two elegant cups, formed of the nautilus shell, finely engraved and carved by C. Bellekin; a great variety of agates, mochos, jaspers, sardonyxes, crystals, gems, and other curious stones, remarkable for beauty or rarity; corals, petrifactions; uncommonly fine specimens of amber gum-copal, some of them inclosing insects; preserved birds, and numerous other productions of nature, together with the elegant mahogany cabinets and glass cases which contained them.
