Contribution of home front workers-natives of the Urals and the working men of Uzbekistan to the victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War The article reflects the contribution of the home front workers-the natives of the Urals and the working men of Uzbekistan to the victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War. Such forms of labour activities during the war years as the movement of the workers who fulfilled their production norm by two-hundred and three-hundred percent, the creation of front-line brigades, the move ment for austerity and the expedient use of local resources, etc. are reflected. Such form of work of the party and the Soviet bodies to strengthen the connec tion of the rear with the front, as the correspondence of the men serving in the rear with the soldiers of the Red Army is revealed in the article. The article also shows the contribution of scientists of Uzbekistan in supplying the front and a country with the necessities, as well as issues of training of teaching staff; the facts that characterize the creative community and co-creation of intellectuals of various peoples of the USSR. Uzbekistan during the Great Patriotic War The article shows how, in the harsh years of the war, Uzbekistan turned into a reliable rear in providing the front with military equipment and ammuni tion, food, clothing, and medicines. How, thanks to the selfless work of the mul tinational people, the
enterprises of the republic began to manufacture military products. How factories were relocated from the front-line territories to Uzbe kistan and put into operation within a short period of time. It is noted that people were evacuated to the republic from those territories where the war was raging. The Uzbek people gave them shelter, surrounded them with love and care, showing their inherent high humanism. The people of Uzbekistan worked with a single goal: “Everything for the front! Contribution by the working people of Turkmenistan to the victory in the Great Patriotic War during the years of 1941-1945 The article deals with various aspects of Turkmenistan’s participation in the Great Patriotic War: production of industrial goods for the needs of the front, supply of agricultural products, organization of transportation, reception of the evacuated population, collection of donations, and aid to the liberated areas of the USSR. Karaganda during the Great Patriotic War The article is devoted to the study of the role of Karaganda city and the region during the Great Patriotic Analyzing the development of industrial fa cilities and evacuation hospitals, and the dynamics of the fast growth of popula tion, the author tries to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the formation of Karaganda as a
rear base. The author comes to the conclusion that Karaganda has become a powerful arsenal of the front, providing with coal, food, clothing, and cash consistently. Everyday life in the rear during the war years reveals new pages of history, and also shows the significance of heroism and sacrifice of the Soviet people. Labor feat of residents of the West Kazakhstan region, in cluding evacuees, in victory in the Second World War The whole country, as soon as the bloody Great Patriotic War began, gave away for the needs of the front not only what it could spare, but also what was essential to itself. Victories at the fronts were ensured not only by the heroism of the soldiers, the tactics and strategy of the commanders, but also by the labor feat of the people in the rear. Overfulfillment of production standards occurred so often that it became the norm and routine. Some of the Stakhanovites were later awarded by the government; for the rest, the highest award was the defeat of the fascist troops and the surrender of Germany. At the beginning of the war, industrial enterprises were evacuated to the city, which became the basis of the industrial potential of the Kurgan in the future. In 1943, the Kurgan Region was created. The most important role in the development of military production was played by the labor heroism and enthusiasm of employees of enterprises and various forms of socialist competition. The issues of their placement and commissioning, industry specifics, which were determined by the tasks of wartime and the needs of the defense industry, are considered. Also, based on the study of statistics, records management, sources of personal origin, etc., the activities of the evacuated enterprises in the cities of the republic (Ufa, Sterlitamak, Birsk, Beloretsk, Blagoveshchensk) were studied. Leningrad Aviation Equipment Plant in evacuation (ac cording to the documents of the Molotov City Committee of the All-Union Communist Party Bolsheviks) The article deals with the allocation of the plant No. 470 evacuated from Leningrad in Molotov and its activities during the Great Patriotic War. The main production aspects in different time periods and the factors influencing them are analyzed. The article contributes to the presentation of the role and place of the plant in the Soviet aircraft industry of the war period. The Tashkent railway has had a great contribution restructuring the economy of Uzbekistan and other republics of the Central Asia to a military mobilization model since it has served almost 4 republics of the re gion. In 1941-1945, the Tashkent railway transported hundreds of factories and millions of evacuated citizens from the west of the USSR to the Central Asia. Industry of Tajikistan during the Great Patriotic War During the Great Patriotic War, Tajikistan was part of the Soviet Union, which was considered a common home for all the peoples of the Union. There fore, although Tajikistan was far from the front line, from the first days of the war, it mobilized its human and economic resources for the defense of the So viet country. In particular, the industry of the republic in a short time, already by 1942, was rebuilt for demand of the front. At the beginning of the war, about 30 industrial enterprises were evacuated to Tajikistan from the front line, which contributed to the acceleration of the transformation and arrangement of many industrial facilities of the republic. As a result, Tajikistan, although it was many thousands of kilometers off the front line, turned into one of the bases of the Soviet Red Army, a supplier of various industrial products, thereby
contributing to the victory of the Soviet peoples over the Nazi Germany and its allies. State farms of the Soviet Republics of the Central Asia at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War Based on the analysis of the consolidated annual reports of the farms of the Central Asian republics, the material-technical base and results of development of agricultural production in the Soviet economy in 1941 are investigated, and the range and quantity of the agricultural products delivered to the state are determined. The conclusion is substantiated on the fact that in the first six months of the war, state farms in the Central Asia successfully coped with the difficulties of wartime and even surpassed the level of the pre-war 1940 in a number of indicators. The source base of the study was mainly archival materials. The topic is revealed by showing the dynamics of the KOVK network, and the main directions of their work. The study made it pos sible to draw the main conclusion: despite the unfavorable conditions of the existence of the KOVK during the war, they were not destroyed as a social in stitution and continued to perform their functions. Facts and archival materials telling about the fate of people who, by the will of fate, found themselves on the territory of Tajikistan are analyzed. The activity of medical institutions, hospitals, orphanages and boarding schools, which showed great concern for the wounded soldiers, officers of the Red Army, and hundreds of children orphaned as a result of the enemy aggression, are covered. Tajikistan in the fate and creative work of the evacuated musical and theatrical groups during the Great Patriotic War The article is devoted to the art groups evacuated to Tajikistan from the besieged Leningrad, Ukraine, and various cities of the western regions of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War, that became surrounded with the care by the republic’s government, theaters, philharmonic society and, of course, tbe population of Tajikistan. The creative intelligentsia in the evacuation con tributed to helping the front by raising funds, and also contributed to the de velopment of the cultural life of Tajikistan during the war, expressed in a va riety of musical, theatrical and concert activities, the
creation of new works, and the improvement of the performing skills of local artists. Tajik cinema on the eve and during the Great Patriotic War The article briefly describes the history of the formation of Tajik cinema at the end of the 30s of the twentieth century and displays the contribution of the Soviet and Russian directors, cameramen, screenwriters and actors in its further development. The author reveals the creative activity of the Russian theater and cinema masters, evacuated to Tajikistan during the Great Patriotic War in detail. It is noted that during this period dozens of feature, documentary and newsreels have been shot within the walls of the Tajik film studio. The professional activ ity of Soviet masters in cinema and theater in Tajikistan during the Great Patri otic War has become a great creative school for local directors and actors. Contribution of home front workers-natives of the Urals and the working men of Uzbekistan to the victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War The article reflects the contribution of the home front workers-the natives of the Urals and the working men of Uzbekistan to the victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War. Such forms of labour activities during the war years as the movement of the workers who fulfilled their production norm by two-hundred and three-hundred percent, the creation of front-line brigades, the move ment for austerity and the expedient use of local resources, etc. are reflected. Such form of work of the party and the Soviet bodies to strengthen the connec tion of the rear with the front, as the correspondence of the men serving in the rear with the soldiers of the Red Army is revealed in the article. The article also shows the contribution of scientists of Uzbekistan in supplying the front and a country with the necessities, as well as issues of training of teaching staff; the facts that characterize the creative community and co-creation of intellectuals of various peoples of the USSR. Uzbekistan during the Great Patriotic War The article shows how, in the harsh years of the war, Uzbekistan turned into a reliable rear in providing the front with military equipment and ammuni tion, food, clothing, and medicines. How, thanks to the selfless work of the mul tinational people, the
enterprises of the republic began to manufacture military products. How factories were relocated from the front-line territories to Uzbe kistan and put into operation within a short period of time. It is noted that people were evacuated to the republic from those territories where the war was raging. The Uzbek people gave them shelter, surrounded them with love and care, showing their inherent high humanism. The people of Uzbekistan worked with a single goal: “Everything for the front! rear base. The author comes to the conclusion that Karaganda has become a powerful arsenal of the front, providing with coal, food, clothing, and cash consistently. Everyday life in the rear during the war years reveals new pages of history, and also shows the significance of heroism and sacrifice of the Soviet people. Labor feat of residents of the West Kazakhstan region, in cluding evacuees, in victory in the Second World War The whole country, as soon as the bloody Great Patriotic War began, gave away for the needs of the front not only what it could spare, but also what was essential to itself. Victories at the fronts were ensured not only by the heroism of the soldiers, the tactics and strategy of the commanders, but also by the labor feat of the people in the rear. Overfulfillment of production standards occurred so often that it became the norm and routine. Some of the Stakhanovites were later awarded by the government; for the rest, the highest award was the defeat of the fascist troops and the surrender of Germany. Tashkent Railway in 1941-1945 Based on scientific literature, materials from periodicals and archival docu ments, the article highlights the life and labor exploits of railway workers of Uzbekistan in 1941-1945. The Tashkent railway has had a great contribution restructuring the economy of Uzbekistan and other republics of the Central Asia to a military mobilization model since it has served almost 4 republics of the re gion. In 1941-1945, the Tashkent railway transported hundreds of factories and millions of evacuated citizens from the west of the USSR to the Central Asia. Industry of Tajikistan during the Great Patriotic War During the Great Patriotic War, Tajikistan was part of the Soviet Union, which was considered a common home for all the peoples of the Union. There fore, although Tajikistan was far from the front line, from the first days of the war, it mobilized its human and economic resources for the defense of the So viet country. In particular, the industry of the republic in a short time, already by 1942, was rebuilt for demand of the front. At the beginning of the war, about 30 industrial enterprises were evacuated to Tajikistan from the front line, which contributed to the acceleration of the transformation and arrangement of many industrial facilities of the republic. As a result, Tajikistan, although it was many thousands of kilometers off the front line, turned into one of the bases of the Soviet Red Army, a supplier of various industrial products, thereby
contributing to the victory of the Soviet peoples over the Nazi Germany and its allies. extraordinarily hard work of rural people led to high rates of grain procurement in the Mokrousovskiy District of the Kurgan Region during the war years. Very few men, who remained on the home front, including manage ment workers, took up the restructuring of agricultural production in the war time conditions. Women, adolescents and the elderly replaced able-bodied men on the home front. They did hard and skilled jobs as well. Moreover, they did not stop taking care about their own families. State farms of the Soviet Republics of the Central Asia at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War Based on the analysis of the consolidated annual reports of the farms of the Central Asian republics, the material-technical base and results of development of agricultural production in the Soviet economy in 1941 are investigated, and the range and quantity of the agricultural products delivered to the state are determined. The conclusion is substantiated on the fact that in the first six months of the war, state farms in the Central Asia successfully coped with the difficulties of wartime and even surpassed the level of the pre-war 1940 in a number of indicators. Development of beet growing in the Frunze region during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 The article is devoted to the labor feat of beet growing women in Kyrgyzstan during the Great Patriotic War. Our republic has become the main supplier of sugar, glucose, alcohol to the front, hospitals, orphanages, etc. The article lists the names of well-known beet growing women in the republic, as well as dozens of new names, which have been hardly mentioned in historical literature before. Collective farmers’ community mutual-aid funds in the Urals on the eve of and during the Great Patriotic War For the first time in regional historiography the article uses the materials of the Big Urals (2 autonomous republics and 5 regions) to attempt to study the activities of the collective farmers’ community mutual-aid funds (KOVK) on the eve of and during the Great Patriotic War. The source base of the study was mainly archival materials. The topic is revealed by showing the dynamics of the KOVK network, and the main directions of their work. The study made it pos sible to draw the main conclusion: despite the unfavorable conditions of the existence of the KOVK during the war, they were not destroyed as a social in stitution and continued to perform their functions. Social protection of military families du ring the Great Patriotic War (on the example of Kyrgyzstan) This article analyzes the role of public authorities, as well as society as a whole, in providing social protection and support to the families of front-line soldiers and children. It is noted that the awareness of the degree of protection of their families in the rear has given the soldiers courage on the fields of a military battle. The attempts have been made to comprehend the practical as sistance to each family, which is in dire need of social security. The specifics of social assistance, forms of social support, benefits provided, and the organization of patronage assistance are indicated.
