Zusammenfassung: | Mindful of divisive labels in constructions of the 'Middle East and North Africa' (MENA) and of 'Europe', the editors and contributors of Knowledge production in higher education reflexively immerse themselves in an investigation of how knowledge about these regions is produced at higher educational establishments. Zooming in on mutual scholarship about 'Europe' and/or 'the MENA' opens up a wide range of possibilities for supplanting visions of so-called traditional Orientalists, to abandon the sets of magnifying glasses through which the Other is studied. For those interested in the decolonisation of academia and issues of positionality this is a must read. This book is relevant to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality education. -- |

-- Geschichte 1800-2022 gnd rswk-swf Hochschulunterricht (DE-588)4072562-5 gnd rswk-swf Europa (DE-588)4015701-5 gnd rswk-swf Nordafrika (DE-588)4042482-0 gnd rswk-swf Naher Osten (DE-588)4068878-1 gnd rswk-swf Europe / Study and teaching (Higher) Africa, North / Study and teaching (Higher) Middle East / Study and teaching (Higher) Europe / Study and teaching (Higher) / Middle East Middle East / Study and teaching (Higher) / Europe Education, Higher Europe Middle East North Africa Cross-cultural studies (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Europa (DE-588)4015701-5 g Naher Osten (DE-588)4068878-1 g Nordafrika (DE-588)4042482-0 g Hochschulunterricht (DE-588)4072562-5 s Geschichte 1800-2022 z DE-604 Pace, Michelle 1970- (DE-588)131605291 edt Völkel, Jan Claudius (DE-588)1139194933 edt Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe 9781526160560 Digitalisierung BSB München - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=034314135&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis |
