Zusammenfassung: | "Exploring the formation of networks across late medieval Central Europe, this book examines the complex interaction of merchants, students, artists and diplomats in a web of connections that linked the region. These individuals were friends in business ventures, occasionally families, and not infrequently foes. No single activity linked them, but rather their interconnectivity through matrices based in diverse modalities was key. Partnerships were not always friendship networks, art was sometimes passed between enemies, and families created for financial gain. Taking an interdisciplinary approach, the chapters focus on inclusion and exclusion within intercultural networks, both interpersonal and artistic, using a wide spectrum of source materials and methodological approaches. The concept of friends is considered broadly, as connections of mutual affection but also simply through business relationships. Families are considered in terms of how they helped or hindered local integration for foreigners and the matrimonial strategies they pursued. Networks were also deeply impacted by rivalry and hostility"-- |

Networks were also deeply impacted by rivalry and hostility"--</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="648" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Geschichte 1300-1600</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Soziales Netzwerk</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4055762-5</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="651" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Mitteleuropa</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4039677-0</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Social networks / Europe, Central / History</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Europe, Central / Social life and customs</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Manners and customs</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Social networks</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Central Europe</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">History</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="655" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4143413-4</subfield><subfield code="a">Aufsatzsammlung</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd-content</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Mitteleuropa</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4039677-0</subfield><subfield code="D">g</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Soziales Netzwerk</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4055762-5</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Geschichte 1300-1600</subfield><subfield code="A">z</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="5">DE-604</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Możejko, Beata</subfield><subfield code="d">ca. 20./21. spelling | Networking in late medieval Central Europe friends, families, foes edited by Beata Możejko, Anna Paulina Orłowska and Leslie Carr-Riegel Abingdon, Oxon ; New York, NY Routledge [2023] © 2023 xvii, 214 Seiten Illustrationen, Karten 25 cm txt rdacontent n rdamedia nc rdacarrier Studies in medieval history and culture "Exploring the formation of networks across late medieval Central Europe, this book examines the complex interaction of merchants, students, artists and diplomats in a web of connections that linked the region. Networks were also deeply impacted by rivalry and hostility"-- Geschichte 1300-1600 gnd rswk-swf Soziales Netzwerk (DE-588)4055762-5 gnd rswk-swf Mitteleuropa (DE-588)4039677-0 gnd rswk-swf Social networks / Europe, Central / History Europe, Central / Social life and customs Manners and customs Social networks Central Europe History (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Mitteleuropa (DE-588)4039677-0 g Soziales Netzwerk (DE-588)4055762-5 s Geschichte 1300-1600 z DE-604 Możejko, Beata ca. 20./21.
