Absolutes Alleinstellungsmerkmal sind die unterschiedlichen, miteinander verknüpften Inhalte der Gustav Klimt-Datenbank. Diese Plattform ist daher das erste Online-Portal, das anhand von Texten und ausgewähltem Bildmaterial, neben dem künstlerischen Œuvre des Jugendstilmalers, auch sein privates und öffentliches Leben im gesellschaftspolitischen Netzwerk dieser dynamischen Zeit sichtbar macht. Überdies sind die digitalen Verzeichnisse zu Klimts Gemälden, seinen Fotografien sowie zu Autografen von, an und über den Meister integrativer Bestandteil der Database und bieten der Forschungsgemeinschaft und interessierten Öffentlichkeit durch die einfache und übersichtliche Handhabung Erleichterung in der Recherche. Die Gustav Klimt-Datenbank ist für alle Interessierten zugänglich; der Bereich Forschung nach einer einmaligen, kostenlosen Registrierung benützbar. The extensive data archive with a modern user interface for indexes of Klimts paintings, autographs and photographs is aimed at both the interested public and experts worldwide. The Klimt database will be continuously expanded over the next few years and is an important scientific online source for research and research into Gustav Klimt and his time, especially the »Vienna 1900« era.
