This compilation includes: Get a Job: The tribulations of cartoon character Bob Dog, as he hunts for a job (10 min. 41 sec.): Canada Vignettes: Spence's Republic: The role of Thomas Spence in the formation and demise of the Republic of Manitoba at Portage la Prairie in 1867-68 (1 min.); Carried Away: each scene corresponds to a step in the creative process; black-and-white photographs representing reality are overlaid with animated color drawings, representing fantasy (6 min. 11 sec.); Getting Started: The procrastinating hero attempts to practise a piece of music on the piano (12 min. 22 sec.); Canada Vignettes: Lady Frances Simpson: The journey of Lady Frances Simpson, with her piano, from England to Lower Fort Garry (1 min.); Canada Vignettes: Fort Prince of Wales: A humorous animated version of the history of Fort Prince of Wales from its construction to its capture by the French (1 min.); The Big Snit: This off-the-wall animation film looks at two simultaneous conflicts: a global nuclear war and a spat over a game of Scrabble (9 min. 49 sec.); The Cat Came Back: Old Mr. Johnson makes increasingly manic attempts to rid himself of a little yellow cat that just won't stay away.
