Zusammenfassung: | "Echocardiography is an imaging technique that enables accurate assessment of cardiac structures and cardiac function. Conventional echocardiography involves different modalities-especially the M-mode, the 2D and colour Doppler, as well as the pulsed wave and continuous wave Doppler. The M-mode illustrates the reflections of a single sound beam plotted against time. 2D echocardiography enables the documentation of views, which represent characteristic sectional planes of the moving heart during one heart cycle. Colour Doppler echocardiography adds the information of blood flow to the 2D cineloop. Pulsed wave Doppler is the acquisition of a local blood flow spectrum of a defined region represented by the dimension of the sample volume, whereas continuous wave Doppler displays the blood flow spectrum of all measured blood flow velocities along a straight line sound beam from its beginning to the end. The handling of the transducer has to be target-oriented, stable with respect to the imaging targets, and coordinated with respect to angle differences between the defined views to use all these modalities correctly to get optimal image quality of the cineloops and spectra. Thus, the focus of this chapter will be a mainly practically oriented description of scanning technique in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography." |

The ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Imaging The ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Imaging, Third Edition provides extensive coverage of all cardiovascular imaging modalities. Produced in collaboration with the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, with contributions from specialists around the globe, and edited by a distinguished team of experts, it is a state-of-the-art clinically orientated imaging reference. Now fully revised and updated with the latest imaging techniques and technology, the textbook covers even more conditions than before. It not only discusses the principles of individual modalities but also clearly demonstrates the value each technique can bring to the treatment of all cardiovascular diseases. Richly illustrated with figures, images, and tables, and using a wealth of newly available evidence to link theory to practice, it also demonstrates how these techniques can be used in the diagnosis of these diseases. Learning how to apply them in practice is made easy with free access to videos and imaging loops online. Impressive in scope, The ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Imaging contains information on cutting-edge technical developments in echocardiography, CT, CMR, and hybrid imaging, as well as the current role of imaging in cardiac interventions, such as identifying cardiac structures, helping to guide procedures, and excluding possible complications. The application of imaging modalities in conditions such as valvular and coronary heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, peri-myocardial disease, adult congenital heart disease, and aortic
disease is also extensively considered. From discussion on improved imaging techniques and advances in technology, to guidance and explanation of key practices and theories, this new edition is the ideal reference guide for cardiologists and radiologists alike. The print edition contains access to the online version on Oxford Medicine Online. By activating your unique access code, you can read and annotate the full text, follow links from references to primary research materials, and view, enlarge, and download all figures and tables.

Thus, the focus of this chapter will be a mainly practically oriented description of scanning technique in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography."</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Bildgebendes Verfahren</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4006617-4</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Kardiovaskuläre Krankheit</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4024666-8</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Herz</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4024632-2</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Cardiovascular system / Imaging</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Cardiovascular diseases / Diagnosis</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Diagnostic imaging / Methods</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Diagnostic techniques, Cardiovascular</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="655" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4123623-3</subfield><subfield code="a">Lehrbuch</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd-content</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Herz</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4024632-2</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Bildgebendes Verfahren</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4006617-4</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="5">DE-604</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="1" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Kardiovaskuläre Krankheit</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4024666-8</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="1" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Bildgebendes Verfahren</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4006617-4</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="5">DE-604</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Zamorano, José Luis</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)128714026</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Bax, Jeroen J.</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Knuuti, Juhani</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Lancellotti, Patrizio</subfield><subfield code="d">1970-</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)1108805027</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Pinto, Fausto J.</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Popescu, Bogdan A.</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Sechtem, Udo</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="710" ind1="2" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">European Society of Cardiology</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)2000727-9</subfield><subfield code="4">isb</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="2"><subfield code="m">Digitalisierung UB Augsburg - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment</subfield><subfield code="q">application/pdf</subfield><subfield code="u">http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=033925406&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA</subfield><subfield code="3">Inhaltsverzeichnis</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="2"><subfield code="m">Digitalisierung UB Augsburg - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment</subfield><subfield code="q">application/pdf</subfield><subfield code="u">http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=033925406&sequence=000003&line_number=0002&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA</subfield><subfield code="3">Klappentext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="999" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">oai:aleph.bib-bvb.de:BVB01-033925406</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |
