Beschreibung: | Let Them Be Heard is a work in four movements for solo guitar written during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, when suddenly the idea of composing music for ensembles seemed almost futile, I became increasingly interested in writing intimate works for my own instrument. The fact that I could make these works come to life with my own hands and on my own terms gave me the motivation I needed to keep composing. The classical guitar is by nature a rather quiet instrument most often heard in solo settings, so even in our busy house, I was able to create a self-sufficient space where I could be a composer, performer, and listener |
