Paris 2011, 12' Ca This work was commissioned by the Israeli Contemporary Players with a grant from Ernst Von Siemens. Premiered in Tel-Aviv with Jean-Michael Lavoie conducting. The recording was made by the same ensemble conducted by Zsolt Nagy."Do bats eat cats?" Alice asks herself while falling into the rabbit-hole in Lewis Carroll's famous story. This moment represents the transition between the real world and the dream world, between the conscious and unconscious mind, a progression that I believe allows the creative process to take place. The act of creation requires constant movement between the two worlds of logic and intuition. In this piece I was inspired by the metaphor of an eruption followed by ricochets.
