Zusammenfassung:In a one-of-a-kind concert of "Wagner without Words", the great Lorin Maazel leads the Berliner Philharmoniker through a program excerpting instrumental music from the Ring Cycle. Lorin Maazel arranged himself this unique synthesis of orchestral music from Wagner's Ring. In a free-flowing musical experience that follows the chronology of the legendary cycle, the Philharmoniker begins with notes from the Rheingold and finishes with the last chord of Götterdämmerung. Material from each opera is excerpted in proportion to the whole cycle to create a symphonic journey designed to bring the magic of these four monumental music dramas to a new audience
