Zusammenfassung:Franck -- Expressing feelings with the harmony Jean-François Zygel, an incomparable pianist and teacher, presents a music lesson, illustrated on the piano and with the participation of the Quatuor Psophos. One hour of words and music, filmed live, to discover the secrets of Franck's music. The music lessons The lessons given during the last 10 years by Jean-François Zygel, the incomparable pianist and teacher, at the Town Hall of the 20th arrondissement in Paris and then in the Théâtre du Châtelet that the Production company Naïve filmed in recent years are famous. They have helped us to gain a special insight into the works of Bartok, Chopin, Shostakovich, Debussy, Fauré, Mendelssohn, Ravel, and more recently Mozart and Schubert. During these music lessons, Jean-François Zygel presents the composers' works, providing his own piano accompaniment, and is often joined by musicians. In this way he enables his audience to (re)discover part of the classical music repertoire from the inside, in a manner which is both fun and original. "With Franck, the sensation of something new, unexpected, and personal is simply due to his private artistic concept, so distinct, clear, and sincere, and which he conscientiously applies to the three fundamentals in musical expression: melody, harmony, and rhythm. Indeed, what would the main characteristics of style be if they did not include the nobility and expressive value of the melodic phrase; the originality of the harmonic aggregation; the solid eurhythmia of the musical architecture?" Vincent d'Indy
