Zusammenfassung: | The great pianist Murray Perahia performs works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Frederic Chopin during a piano recital in Warsaw. Johann Sebastian Bach's Partita No. 6 is among the most technically demanding pieces composed by the German composer. It is the last of a set of six partitas published between 1726 and 1730 as Clavier-Übung I. Through the seven movements that compose this partita, Bach explores all the resources of the keyboard and shows brilliantly his mastery of all the composition techniques. Composed in 1820, Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 30, is one of the latest piano sonatas composed by the Viennese composer. After the huge Hammerklavier sonata, Op. 106, Beethoven returns to a smaller scale with this piece dedicated to Maximiliane Brentano. The character is intimate, the first bars are remarkably gentle, and the overall structure shows a free and original approach to the traditional sonata form. In the third movement, the composer develops a particularly rich set of variations on a single theme. To conclude this concert, Murray Perahia performs a few works by Fredéric Chopin, including the Third Ballade, a few Etudes as well as two Mazurkas. All these works composed in the first half of the 19th bear witness of the incredible virtuosity and musical originality of the great Romantic-era Polish composer and pianist |

All these works composed in the first half of the 19th bear witness of the incredible virtuosity and musical originality of the great Romantic-era Polish composer and pianist Ballades (Instrumental music) Mazurkas Piano music Sonatas (Piano) Suites (Piano) Scherzos (Piano) Internet videos Wischmann, Claus Sonstige oth Preusse, Holger Sonstige oth Perahia, Murray Sonstige oth Bach, Johann Sebastian 1685-1750 Partitas harpsichord BWV 830 E minor Beethoven, Ludwig van 1770-1827 Sonatas piano no. 30, op. 109 E major Chopin, Frédéric 1810-1849 Ballades piano no. 3, op. 47 A♭ major Chopin, Frédéric 1810-1849 Etudes piano op. 25 No. 5 Chopin, Frédéric 1810-1849 Etudes piano op. 25 No. 1 Chopin, Frédéric 1810-1849 Etudes piano op. 10 No. 4 Chopin, Frédéric 1810-1849 Mazurkas piano op. 59 No. 2 Chopin, Frédéric 1810-1849 Mazurkas piano op. 50 No. 3 Chopin, Frédéric 1810-1849 Mazurkas piano op. 59 No. 3 Chopin, Frédéric 1810-1849 Scherzos piano no. 4, op. 54 E major Sounding Images (Firm) Sonstige oth Dokfilm (Firm) Sonstige oth Fernsehproduktions GmbH Sonstige oth https://edu.medici.tv/en/concerts/murray-perahia-live-in-warsaw-bach-beethoven-chopin Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext digital rdatr video file |
