Zusammenfassung: | In Romantic Empiricism, Dalia Nassar distinguishes an understudied philosophical tradition that emerged in Germany in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, traces its development, and argues for its continued significance. Nassar shows how four key thinkers, whom she calls the "romantic empiricists," developed a distinctive approach to the study of nature, which culminated in a new, ecological understanding of nature and the human place within it. While the romantic empiricists took insights from empiricism and rationalism, they differed in their view that art and aesthetic experience can enrich our understanding of the world, and in their emphasis on the ethical dimension of knowledge. Nassar contends that the romantic empiricist insights and approaches remain crucial for us today, as we seek to address the environmental crisis |

Nassar contends that the romantic empiricist insights and approaches remain crucial for us today, as we seek to address the environmental crisis Kant, Immanuel 1724-1804 (DE-588)118559796 gnd rswk-swf Goethe, Johann Wolfgang von 1749-1832 (DE-588)118540238 gnd rswk-swf Herder, Johann Gottfried von 1744-1803 (DE-588)118549553 gnd rswk-swf Humboldt, Alexander von 1769-1859 (DE-588)118554700 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1750-1850 gnd rswk-swf Empirismus (DE-588)4014610-8 gnd rswk-swf Ästhetik (DE-588)4000626-8 gnd rswk-swf Botanik (DE-588)4007842-5 gnd rswk-swf Romantik (DE-588)4050491-8 gnd rswk-swf Naturverständnis (DE-588)4318394-3 gnd rswk-swf Romantik (DE-588)4050491-8 s Empirismus (DE-588)4014610-8 s Naturverständnis (DE-588)4318394-3 s Ästhetik (DE-588)4000626-8 s Botanik (DE-588)4007842-5 s Geschichte 1750-1850 z DE-604 Herder, Johann Gottfried von 1744-1803 (DE-588)118549553 p Humboldt, Alexander von 1769-1859 (DE-588)118554700 p Goethe, Johann Wolfgang von 1749-1832 (DE-588)118540238 p Kant, Immanuel 1724-1804 (DE-588)118559796 p Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe 978-0-19-009546-8 Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe 978-0-19-009545-1 Digitalisierung BSB München - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=033746196&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis |
