229 Vepra 1 SUMMARY This volume of selected works of Dr. Kaleshi is being published as a token of his twenty years of death. This book includes the writer’s first work Some remarks of language in our press which has been published in Jeta e Re in 1949 (see chronological bibliography of Dr. Kaleshi in this volume No. 1 and his last interview May 1976 (see bibliography No. 349) Among these two bibliographical units as a symbolic ex pression of Dr. Kaleshi’s scientific activity which includes 357 units have found piece: Translations and language problems, Mevludi at Albanians, Kuran masterpiece in the arabic litera ture, Naim Frashcer’s Turkish and Persian works, Sources that have to do with the studies of Sami Frashëri and Faik Konica and his relationship withAustrohungaria. In these studies of Dr. Kaleshi two are translated, wereas the others have been published in Albanian language. Some of them have summaries in French or German. During the preparations for publishing this volume the editorial has remained faithful to the authars original language and style. He has corrected only technical aspects. Besides Dr. Kaleshi’s works, the book in cludes other contributions of the book includes other contribu tions referring to the author. Thus, in the beginning of the book, besides the editor ’ s word is puplished the complete chronological bibliography of Dr. Kaleshi. There is reflected his scientific contribution published in these languages: albanian, turkish, english, serbo-croation, german and french, wereas at the end besides his last interview is presented a content of
the albanian pres on the occasion of his death. His death was annaunced in other scientific articles such

If it becames possible for Dr. Kaleshi’s activity to be pub lished as a whole, which undoubtley deservesit, then all his writnigs will bi included which he has left and all the writings devoted to him. This book is a token of regard and respect towards the author and towards the scientific opinion in general which can be a step to continue Dr. Kalesh’ is activity as a whole.
