Zusammenfassung: | "With a foreword by Diego Quaglioni This book attempts to determine the degree to which the modern fate of the Western legal tradition depends on one of the most long-standing debates of the Middle Ages, the distinction between potentia Dei absoluta and ordinata (God's absolute and ordered power). The mediaeval investigation into God's attributes was originally concerned with the problem of divine almightiness. It underwent a slow but steady displacement from the territory of theology to the freshly emerging proceedings of legal analysis. Here, based on the distinction, late-mediaeval lawyers worked out a new terminology to define the extent of the power-holder's authority. This effort would give rise, during the early modern era, to the gradual establishment of the legal-political framework represented by the concepts of the prince and sovereignty" |

This effort would give rise, during the early modern era, to the gradual establishment of the legal-political framework represented by the concepts of the prince and sovereignty" Geschichte 1100-1600 gnd rswk-swf Souveränität (DE-588)4132367-1 gnd rswk-swf Eigenschaft Gottes (DE-588)4232758-1 gnd rswk-swf Recht (DE-588)4048737-4 gnd rswk-swf Allmacht Gottes (DE-588)4141969-8 gnd rswk-swf Macht (DE-588)4036824-5 gnd rswk-swf Public law / Philosophy Power (Christian theology) Law, Medieval Law / Christian influences Authoritarianism / Religious aspects / Christianity Sovereignty / Religious aspects / Christianity Droit public / Philosophie Pouvoir (Théologie chrétienne) Droit médiéval Autoritarisme / Aspect religieux / Christianisme Souveraineté / Aspect religieux / Christianisme (DE-588)4113937-9 Hochschulschrift gnd-content Allmacht Gottes (DE-588)4141969-8 s Eigenschaft Gottes (DE-588)4232758-1 s Macht (DE-588)4036824-5 s Souveränität (DE-588)4132367-1 s Recht (DE-588)4048737-4 s Geschichte 1100-1600 z DE-604 Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe 978-90-04-50370-0 Scientific and learned cultures and their institutions volume 34 (DE-604)BV039122213 34 Digitalisierung BSB München - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=033672726&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis |
