Zusammenfassung: | "Drawing upon perspectives from across the globe and employing an interdisciplinary life course approach, this handbook explores the production and reproduction of different types of inequality across a variety of social contexts. Inequalities are not static, easily measurable, and essentially quantifiable circumstances of life. They are processes which impact on individuals throughout the life-course, interacting with each other, accumulating, attenuating, reproducing or distorting themselves along the way. The chapters in this handbook examine various types of inequality, such as economic, gender, racial and ethnic inequalities, and analyse how these inequalities manifest themselves within different aspects of society, including health, education and the family, at multiple levels and dimensions. The handbook also tackles the global COVID-19 pandemic and its striking impact on the production and intensification of inequalities. The interdisciplinary life course approach utilised in this handbook combines quantitative and qualitative methods to bridge the gap between theory and practice and offer strategies and principles for identifying and tackling issues of inequality. This book will be indispensable for students and researchers as well as activists and policy makers interested in understanding and eradicating the processes of production, reproduction and perpetuation of inequalities." - Seite [i] |

This book will be indispensable for students and researchers as well as activists and policy makers interested in understanding and eradicating the processes of production, reproduction and perpetuation of inequalities." - Seite [i] Chancengleichheit (DE-588)4009736-5 gnd rswk-swf COVID-19 (DE-588)1206347392 gnd rswk-swf Ungleichheit (DE-588)4186884-5 gnd rswk-swf Soziale Ungleichheit (DE-588)4055736-4 gnd rswk-swf Rassismus (DE-588)4076527-1 gnd rswk-swf Ethnizität (DE-588)4220764-2 gnd rswk-swf Biografieforschung (DE-588)4132300-2 gnd rswk-swf Bildung (DE-588)4006650-2 gnd rswk-swf Gesundheit (DE-588)4020754-7 gnd rswk-swf USA (DE-588)4078704-7 gnd rswk-swf Equality / United States Income distribution / United States SOCIAL SCIENCE / General SOCIAL SCIENCE / Sociology / General (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Soziale Ungleichheit (DE-588)4055736-4 s Biografieforschung (DE-588)4132300-2 s COVID-19 (DE-588)1206347392 s USA (DE-588)4078704-7 g Ungleichheit (DE-588)4186884-5 s Chancengleichheit (DE-588)4009736-5 s Bildung (DE-588)4006650-2 s Gesundheit (DE-588)4020754-7 s Ethnizität (DE-588)4220764-2 s Rassismus (DE-588)4076527-1 s DE-604 Nico, Magda (DE-588)1169795196 edt Pollock, Gary (DE-588)1095557114 edt Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe The Routledge handbook of contemporary inequalities and the life course London : Routledge, 2022 978-0-429-47005-9 978-0-429-89257-8 https://content.ub.hu-berlin.de/monographs/toc/ethnologie/BV048289839.pdf Inhaltsverzeichnis |
