Zusammenfassung: | Does gender condition politicians' discourse strategies in parliament? This is the question we try to answer in A Gender-based Approach to Parliamentary Discourse: The Andalusian Parliament. This book, written by experts in the field of discourse analysis, covers key aspects of political discourse such as gender, identity and verbal and nonverbal strategies: intensification, enumerative series, non-literal quotations, pseudo-desemantisation, lexical colloquialisation, emotion, eye contact and time management. It provides a large number of examples from a balanced gender parliament, the Andalusian Parliament, and it focuses mainly on argumentation, since parliamentary discourse is above all argumentative. This book will prove invaluable to students and teachers in the field of discourse analysis, and more specifically of political discourse, and will also be very useful to politicians and anyone interested in communication strategies |

This book will prove invaluable to students and teachers in the field of discourse analysis, and more specifically of political discourse, and will also be very useful to politicians and anyone interested in communication strategies This work is licensed by Knowledge Unlatched under a Creative Commons license https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/legalcode This work is licensed under a Creative Commons license https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/legalcode Communication politique Aspect social Communication in politics Social aspects Discourse analysis Political aspects POLITICAL SCIENCE Government Semantics, discourse analysis, etc Women legislators Communication in politics Social aspects Spain Andalusia Discourse analysis Political aspects Spain Andalusia Women legislators Spain Andalusia Konversationsanalyse (DE-588)4114283-4 gnd rswk-swf Parlamentsdebatte (DE-588)4173376-9 gnd rswk-swf Spanisch (DE-588)4077640-2 gnd rswk-swf Geschlechterforschung (DE-588)4482930-9 gnd rswk-swf Andalusien (DE-588)4001909-3 gnd rswk-swf Andalusia (Spain) / Parlamento Spain / Andalusia Electronic books (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Andalusien (DE-588)4001909-3 g Spanisch (DE-588)4077640-2 s Parlamentsdebatte (DE-588)4173376-9 s Konversationsanalyse (DE-588)4114283-4 s Geschlechterforschung (DE-588)4482930-9 s DE-604 Álvarez Benito, Gloria editor oth Fuentes Rodríguez, Catalina editor oth Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe Gender-based approach to parliamentary discourse Amsterdam ; Philadelphia : John Benjamins Publishing Company, 2016 9789027206596 https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=1426720 Verlag kostenfrei Volltext |
