Zusammenfassung: | This peer-reviewed collection brings together the latest research on language endangerment and language rights. It creates a vibrant, interdisciplinary platform for the discussion of the most pertinent and urgent topics central to vitality and equality of languages in today's globalised world. The novelty of the volume lies in the multifaceted view on the variety of dangers that languages face today, such as extinction through dwindling speaker populations and lack of adequate preservation policies or inequality in different social contexts (e.g. access to justice, education and research resources). There are examples of both loss and survival, and discussion of multiple factors that condition these two different outcomes. We pose and answer difficult questions such as whether forced interventions in preventing loss are always warranted or indeed viable. The emerging shared perspective is that of hope to inspire action towards improving the position of different languages and their speakers through research of this kind |

The emerging shared perspective is that of hope to inspire action towards improving the position of different languages and their speakers through research of this kind</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Changement linguistique</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Compétence linguistique</subfield><subfield code="2">Perte</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Langues menacées</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Endangered languages</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="a">LANGUAGE ARTS & DISCIPLINES</subfield><subfield code="2">Alphabets & Writing Systems</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Language attrition</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Language policy</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Linguistic change</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Endangered languages</subfield><subfield code="v">Congresses</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Language attrition</subfield><subfield code="v">Congresses</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Language policy</subfield><subfield code="v">Congresses</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Linguistic change</subfield><subfield code="v">Congresses</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Sprachpolitik</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4077732-7</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Bedrohte Sprache</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4602206-5</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Recht</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4048737-4</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Dokumentation</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4012656-0</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Ideologie</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4026486-5</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Electronic books</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Electronic books</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="6"><subfield code="a">Conference papers and proceedings</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="655" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4143413-4</subfield><subfield code="a">Aufsatzsammlung</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd-content</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Bedrohte Sprache</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4602206-5</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Dokumentation</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4012656-0</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Sprachpolitik</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4077732-7</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="3"><subfield code="a">Ideologie</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4026486-5</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Recht</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4048737-4</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="5">DE-604</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Filipović, Luna</subfield><subfield code="e">editor</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Pütz, Martin</subfield><subfield code="d">1955-</subfield><subfield code="e">editor</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="710" ind1="2" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">International L.A.U.D.-Symposium</subfield><subfield code="d">2014</subfield><subfield code="c">Universität Koblenz-Landau)</subfield><subfield code="e">Sonstige</subfield><subfield code="4">oth</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Erscheint auch als</subfield><subfield code="n">Druck-Ausgabe</subfield><subfield code="t">Endangered languages and languages in danger</subfield><subfield code="d">Amsterdam ; Language documentation, ethno-history and language vitality; Language documentation 20 years on This peer-reviewed collection brings together the latest research on language endangerment and language rights. The emerging shared perspective is that of hope to inspire action towards improving the position of different languages and their speakers through research of this kind Changement linguistique Compétence linguistique Perte Langues menacées Endangered languages LANGUAGE ARTS & DISCIPLINES Alphabets & Writing Systems Language attrition Language policy Linguistic change Endangered languages Congresses Language attrition Congresses Language policy Congresses Linguistic change Congresses Sprachpolitik (DE-588)4077732-7 gnd rswk-swf Bedrohte Sprache (DE-588)4602206-5 gnd rswk-swf Recht (DE-588)4048737-4 gnd rswk-swf Dokumentation (DE-588)4012656-0 gnd rswk-swf Ideologie (DE-588)4026486-5 gnd rswk-swf Electronic books Conference papers and proceedings (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Bedrohte Sprache (DE-588)4602206-5 s Dokumentation (DE-588)4012656-0 s Sprachpolitik (DE-588)4077732-7 s Ideologie (DE-588)4026486-5 s Recht (DE-588)4048737-4 s DE-604 Filipović, Luna editor oth Pütz, Martin 1955- editor oth International L.A.U.D.-Symposium 2014 Universität Koblenz-Landau) Sonstige oth Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe Endangered languages and languages in danger Amsterdam ; Philadelphia : John Benjamins Publishing Company, [[2016] 9789027258342 https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&scope=site&db=nlebk&AN=1353215 Verlag kostenfrei Volltext |
