Beschreibung: | For the European Union, its migration policy and the free movement of EU citizens are two separate issues, but in practice they tend to be identified in public debate, in particular now on account of the deepening crisis of migration from the South. Hence the EU faces the need to redefine itsmigration policy in order to deal with the intra-EU movement of persons, which is becoming increasingly controversial also among EU citizens due to the economic crisis and misuse of social policy regulations. Poland and Norway are at opposite ends with respect to migration policy, with theformer at an early stage of implementing its strategy and the latter with years of experience behind it. Poland can no doubt benefit from theNorwegian know-how in pursuing its own integration goals, such as enhancing cooperation with the diaspora leaving the country permanently or temporarily |
