Zusammenfassung: | Even though null subjects have been extensively studied in the past four decades, there is a growing interest in partial null subject languages (e.g. Finnish) and a subtler classification of null subject phenomena overall. This volume aims at contributing to this trend, focusing on Slavic and Finno-Ugric groups, with some extension to Baltic and Samoyedic languages. Interestingly, these groups offer an impressive array of macro- and microvariation. Moreover, given an increasing interest towards the internal structure of the pronominal elements and the role of various types of topics in the left periphery of the sentence structure, the enterprise taken up in this book is to investigate lexical and null, referential and generic subjects in order to understand and compare their feature composition, licensing conditions, and structural properties. Rather than trying to squeeze the studied languages into a predefined set of parameters, this volume highlights some properties that may lead to a refinement of the existing generalizations. It brings together contributors from both generative and typological traditions and will be of interest to any researcher willing to investigate argument-drop in a wider crosslinguistic perspective |

spelling | Null subjects in Slavic and Finno-Ugric licensing, structure and typology edited by Gréte Dalmi, Egor Tsedryk, Piotr Cegłowski Boston ; Berlin De Gruyter Mouton 2022 © 2022 1 Online-Ressource (XXVIII, 379 Seiten) txt rdacontent c rdamedia cr rdacarrier Studies in generative grammar volume 145 Even though null subjects have been extensively studied in the past four decades, there is a growing interest in partial null subject languages (e.g. It brings together contributors from both generative and typological traditions and will be of interest to any researcher willing to investigate argument-drop in a wider crosslinguistic perspective In English Generische Referenz Pronomen Subjekt (Grammatik) LANGUAGE ARTS & DISCIPLINES / Linguistics / Syntax bisacsh Finnougrische Sprachen (DE-588)4113568-4 gnd rswk-swf Pro-Drop-Parameter (DE-588)4390839-1 gnd rswk-swf Slawische Sprachen (DE-588)4120036-6 gnd rswk-swf Slawische Sprachen (DE-588)4120036-6 s Finnougrische Sprachen (DE-588)4113568-4 s Pro-Drop-Parameter (DE-588)4390839-1 s DE-604 Dalmi, Gréte (DE-588)1205765530 edt Tsedryk, Egor edt Cegłowski, Piotr (DE-588)1205815791 edt Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 978-1-5015-2022-8 Studies in generative grammar volume 145 (DE-604)BV044328792 145 https://doi.org/10.1515/9781501513848 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext |
