Zusammenfassung: | "Many theories of language acquisition struggle to account for the morphological complexity and diversity of the world's languages. This book examines the acquisition of complex morphology of Murrinhpatha, a polysynthetic language of Northern Australia. It considers semi-naturalistic data from five children (1;9-6;1) collected over a two-year period. Analysis of the Murrinhpatha data is focused on the acquisition of polysynthetic verb constructions, large irregular inflectional paradigms, and bipartite stem verbs, which all pose interesting challenges to the learner, as well as to theories of language acquisition. The book argues that morphological complexity, which broadly includes factors such as transparency, predictability/regularity, richness, type/token frequency and productivity, must become central to our understanding of morphological acquisition. It seeks to understand how acquisition is impacted by differences in morphological systems and by the ways in which children and their interlocutors use these systems" |

It seeks to understand how acquisition is impacted by differences in morphological systems and by the ways in which children and their interlocutors use these systems" Murinbata (DE-588)7861171-4 gnd rswk-swf Spracherwerb (DE-588)4056458-7 gnd rswk-swf Morphologie Linguistik (DE-588)4170560-9 gnd rswk-swf Murrinhpatha language / Acquisition Murrinhpatha language / Morphology Children / Language (DE-588)4113937-9 Hochschulschrift gnd-content Murinbata (DE-588)7861171-4 s Spracherwerb (DE-588)4056458-7 s Morphologie Linguistik (DE-588)4170560-9 s DE-604 Erscheint auch als Forshaw, William Online-Ausgabe 978-90-272-5837-3 Trends in language acquisition research volume 30 (DE-604)BV046711199 30 Digitalisierung UB Regensburg - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=033019412&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis Digitalisierung UB Regensburg - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=033019412&sequence=000003&line_number=0002&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Klappentext |
