Zusammenfassung: | In The Deconstruction of Sex, Jean-Luc Nancy and Irving Goh discuss how a deconstructive approach to sex helps us negotiate discourses about sex and foster a better understanding of how sex complicates our everyday existence in the age of #MeToo. Throughout their conversation, Nancy and Goh engage with topics ranging from relation, penetration, and subjection to touch, erotics, and jouissance. They show how despite its entrenchment in social norms and centrality to our being-in-the-world, sex lacks a clearly defined essence. At the same time, they point to the potentiality of literature to inscribe the senses of sex. In so doing, Nancy and Goh prompt us to reconsider our relations with ourselves and others through sex in more sensitive, respectful, and humble ways without bracketing the troubling aspects of sex |

Okt 2021) In The Deconstruction of Sex, Jean-Luc Nancy and Irving Goh discuss how a deconstructive approach to sex helps us negotiate discourses about sex and foster a better understanding of how sex complicates our everyday existence in the age of #MeToo. In so doing, Nancy and Goh prompt us to reconsider our relations with ourselves and others through sex in more sensitive, respectful, and humble ways without bracketing the troubling aspects of sex In English PHILOSOPHY / Movements / Deconstruction bisacsh MeToo movement Sex in literature Sex Philosophy Sex Social aspects Sexual abuse victims Sexual harassment MeToo (DE-588)1199474355 gnd rswk-swf Sexualität (DE-588)4054684-6 gnd rswk-swf Philosophie (DE-588)4045791-6 gnd rswk-swf Soziologie (DE-588)4077624-4 gnd rswk-swf Sexuelle Belästigung (DE-588)4238118-6 gnd rswk-swf Sexueller Missbrauch (DE-588)4126865-9 gnd rswk-swf Literatur (DE-588)4035964-5 gnd rswk-swf Sexualität (DE-588)4054684-6 s MeToo (DE-588)1199474355 s Sexueller Missbrauch (DE-588)4126865-9 s Sexuelle Belästigung (DE-588)4238118-6 s Soziologie (DE-588)4077624-4 s Philosophie (DE-588)4045791-6 s Literatur (DE-588)4035964-5 s DE-604 Colebrook, Claire 1965- Sonstige (DE-588)135884896 oth Goh, Irving Sonstige (DE-588)1201582733 oth Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe, Hardcover 978-1-4780-1342-6 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe, Paperback 978-1-4780-1435-5 https://www.degruyter.com/isbn/9781478021643 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext https://doi.org/10.1215/9781478021643 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext |
