The purpose of this course is for learners to become aware of the critical assumptions and requirements included in the 1547 standard. In the first part of this course, the rationale for the revision of the standard is addressed. In addition, the course reviews codes and standards related to IEEE Std 1547, the history of the interconnection standards, and the IEEE 1547 evolution in both the short-term and long-term. In the second part of the course, learners are familiarized with the following topics: general overview and limitations; interference points of applicability; applicable voltages; measurement accuracy; cease to energize performance requirement; control capability requirements; prioritization of DER responses; isolation device; inadvertent energization of the area EPS and enter service |
