Zusammenfassung:This tutorial is the first in a series of three tutorials covering introductory, intermediate and advanced topics in cloud computing. This course serves as an introduction to cloud computing for individuals and organizations. Dr. Laplante reviews the following topics Basic concepts (e.g., cloud computing definitions, essential characteristics of clouds, the value proposition for cloud computin); National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) model for cloud infrastructure elements; Cloud infrastructure from the consumer and producer views; basic issues in cloud security; Cloud usage scenarios (including public, private, community and hybrid clouds); and Consumer-producer relationship (service agreements, promises and limitations). This introductory course is substantially based on two publications on cloud computing prepared by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (or NIST) for use by federal agencies and the public. As such, these publications represent definitive references for cloud computing technology. The two publications are: Cloud Computing Definition, NIST SP 800-145 (Mell, P. and Grance, T., 2011) and Draft Cloud Computing Synopsis and Recommendations, NIST SP 800-146, (Badger et al., 2012)
