Note that the Josquin "Ave Maria...virgo serena" in volume II is in fact an expanded 6-voice version of the original 4-voice motet. Wagemakers' introduction mentions this: "The same procedure [omit the second Discantus and Tenor of the Josquin "O bone et dulcissime"] can be applied to the other six-voice motets [sic]"--Preface.
