Zusammenfassung: | "Beyond the Breach: An Exegetical Study of John 4:1-42 as a Text of Jewish-Samaritan Reconciliation' focuses on the ethical element of loving the enemy in John which challenges the earlier consensus that one cannot find the theme of loving the enemy/neighbor in John's gospel, be it explicitly or implicitly. This study defends the position that in the gospel of John there are elements of reconciling love, a depiction of loving one's enemies, and in particular in the Samaritan episode (John 4:1-42). This book critically analyzes existing research on the theme of Jewish-Samaritan relations and 'the world behind' John 4:1-42. It makes use of recent methods in biblical studies to interpret the complexity of texts, underlying themes and concerns in the way John 4:1-42 describes the Samaritan mission of the Johannine Jesus." |

It makes use of recent methods in biblical studies to interpret the complexity of texts, underlying themes and concerns in the way John 4:1-42 describes the Samaritan mission of the Johannine Jesus."</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="630" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Bibel</subfield><subfield code="p">Johannesevangelium</subfield><subfield code="n">4,1-42</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4523417-6</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Bible / John / Criticism, interpretation, etc</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Reconciliation / Biblical teaching</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="653" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Samaritans</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="655" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4113937-9</subfield><subfield code="a">Hochschulschrift</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd-content</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Bibel</subfield><subfield code="p">Johannesevangelium</subfield><subfield code="n">4,1-42</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4523417-6</subfield><subfield code="D">u</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="5">DE-604</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Erscheint auch als</subfield><subfield code="n">Online-Ausgabe</subfield><subfield code="z">978-90-429-3696-6</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="830" ind1=" " ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Contributions to biblical exegesis and theology</subfield><subfield code="v">92</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-604)BV004576670</subfield><subfield code="9">92</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="2"><subfield code="m">V:DE-576;B:DE-21</subfield><subfield code="q">application/pdf</subfield><subfield code="u">http://swbplus.bsz-bw.de/bsz1700648799inh.htm</subfield><subfield code="v">20210414194224</subfield><subfield code="3">Inhaltsverzeichnis</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="2"><subfield code="m">V:DE-576;B:DE-21</subfield><subfield code="q">application/pdf</subfield><subfield code="u">http://swbplus.bsz-bw.de/bsz1700648799kla.htm</subfield><subfield code="v">20210414194224</subfield><subfield code="3">Klappentext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="2"><subfield code="m">SWB Datenaustausch</subfield><subfield code="q">application/pdf</subfield><subfield code="u">http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=032658032&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA</subfield><subfield code="3">Klappentext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="2"><subfield code="m">SWB Datenaustausch</subfield><subfield code="q">application/pdf</subfield><subfield code="u">http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=032658032&sequence=000003&line_number=0002&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA</subfield><subfield code="3">Inhaltsverzeichnis</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="999" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">oai:aleph.bib-bvb.de:BVB01-032658032</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |
